BALI 2017
Some pictures of our two week stay in Bali in October

We start with a visit to Ubub, a city that is certainly touristy but still authentic, especially since most of the accommodation is in small luxury bungalow hotels with swimming pools and a small number of rooms, in our case 8 rooms.
Visit of the city and the market and the famous Monkey Forest and its monkeys.
We take a day trip from UBUD taking a local taxi for a relatively low price.
We attend a traditional show, then visit the rice fields of Jatiluwih, a splendid and relaxing place, we could stay there for hours, many hikes of different durations are possible.
To end the day we end with a visit to the Pura Ulum Danu temple, it is not remarkable in itself but the setting in which it fits is splendid.
After this 3-day stay at UBUD we head to AMED
small quiet seaside resort and not yet too damaged by tourism.
Due to the risk of the Agung volcano erupting we are almost the only tourists
We see it in restaurants where we are welcome and often the only table.
We do the same thing as UBUD we take a taxi for the day to visit the surroundings.
The AMLAPURA market and then the majestic WATER PALACE and its equally charming park.
We will end with the Tirthagangga, another park that is certainly more modest but also very relaxing with its pools.
To end this 2-week stay we end with SANUR, we find this hyper touristy seaside resort with its main road lined with restaurants and souvenir shops.
We go on an excursion, we are happy to have chosen SANUR and not KUTA or NUSA DUA which are still much more touristy and less in our tastes.
In summary, we are happy with the formula chosen, that is to say dry flight with reservation of hotels and RB and B (small sizes) by ourselves before leaving.
BALI is an island very easy to visit on your own because the population is not intrusive and the people very welcoming.
Life on the spot is not expensive, we can find accommodation and food without worries, the cost of the trip is high due to the price of the flight.
