Cinque-Terre 2015
Here we are in May 2015 towards Italy, Liguria and the famous Cinque Terre region.
We leave the Lyonnaise region at the end of the day, pass through Grenoble, Gap, Barcelonnette. To cross into Italy we chose the Larche pass at the top of which we will spend a peaceful night.
The next morning we are in Italy and take the motorway to reach La Spezia and the service area (See section Area and parking) managed by the Red Cross, ideally placed to reach the city center (Bus 5 minutes on foot) and thus reach the Cinque Terre by boat or train.

We had decided to get up early to enjoy the Cinque Terre and take the boat at 9:00 am Unfortunately at dawn bad news the weather is overcast and the rain is announced by the weather forecast.
We decide to postpone this visit to the next day.
We are therefore going to visit the Carrara marble quarries, after having taken information from the tourist office we learn that there are two quarries that can be visited, one open-air and another underground, we opt for the second because of bad weather, however we have great difficulty finding the site (no indication).
The visit is brief and the underground production is anecdotal and especially made for tourists, but good idea all the same because when we leave the quarry a very violent storm is in progress.
In the afternoon the sun come back and we take the opportunity to visit Porto Venere, a charming village (we park at the top because access is prohibited to motorhome) there is a beautiful area when arriving with a view of the sea and La Spezia.
The next day we get up early in order to take the 9:00 am boat from the port of La Spezia, we reach the first village of the Cinque Terre around 10:30 am.
The sun is there most of the day despite a few cloudy periods and a few drops
We move from village to village by train (for this we took the day pass) access to the platforms of each station is very difficult due to the crowds, on the other hand the visit of the villages goes without difficulty. Unfortunately, the lovers' path which joins each village between them by the seaside has been prohibited since the landslides of 2010.
We made this trip in 4 days and we traveled 1500 km, to fully enjoy the beauty of the place, it would have taken 2 more days to walk the trails around the villages.
